The Magic Absalom: Anna as always a pleasure to hear from you and especially new material.

- Tell us, what are all the bonus tracks that will be released at the same time as the new single?

Anna Fiori: - Along with "Anxiety", we will have exclusively, through Bandcamp , a remastered version of our session at home of "Cehualli" with the inclusion of some pre-Hispanic instruments.
In addition, it will be revealed, for the first time in digital, the demo that we launched in 2011 of which only 50 physical copies were made by hand. This demo includes some models and curiosities never before exposed to the public.
It is worth mentioning at this point that we will have the entire discography available in digital format and what we still have of physical merchandise through this medium.
The Magic Absalom: -We know that De La Tierra and Anxiety belong to the semi-acoustic line. De La Tierra invites you to travel to your darkest place and then help you close that cycle. How does Anxiety fit into this healing process?

Anna Fiori: - As you describe it, it is music designed so that we stop ignoring and evading all that we are, and heal in the most positive way, with the best intention in the world.
"Anxiety" was one of the songs that, due to the limited space of songs that an EP must include, we left out. But everything has a reason.
When we released the EP, we didn't know everything that would happen in the world. All this of the pandemic has opened many things of the mind and the emotions and has exposed many things that we all carry inside.
"Anxiety" validates and recognizes that we cannot always be in a constant state of absolute happiness. And understanding this keeps us in a much healthier state of balance than our society imposes on us.
La Magia Absalón: What was the feeling that inspired you to create the lyrics for the new single?

Anna Fiori: - The desire to recognize and accept myself in my good and bad moments, the great changes that I have experienced this year and to remind those who listen that they are not alone were the biggest motivations for composing this single.

La Magia Absalón: What was the reaction of the whole band to know that it had to be recorded from home, without a recording studio as they usually do?

Anna Fiori: - Everyone in the band and in the AF team are people with a wonderful drive:
If you have to go to a study, you go, if you have to solve from home, it is solved.
Once again I admire and appreciate the beauty of each one of the members of this that is my musical family.
The results of the love for music and the professionalism of each one can be heard in the result of this song.
There are no limits to doing what you love.
La Magia Absalón: -We had the opportunity to accompany you in HH2020, the last great festival, what was your feeling and / or thought before starting the concert and at the end of it?

Anna Fiori: - It always makes me very happy to be on stage. That one was particularly difficult because I usually go down and say hello and live with whoever wants to be ... But because of the virus I couldn't do it ... However, it was incredible. We miss the shows.

The Magic Absalom: There are many stigmas / prejudices about receiving specialized care and even more about receiving adequate treatment in moments of anguish, melancholy, panic, sadness, depression and / or anxiety. What is your position on the prejudices and taboos that exist around mental health care?

Anna Fiori: - For me, first of all, the fact of avoiding and labeling our emotions as something "negative" all the time makes us ignore a very important part of ourselves. If we don't ignore our pain, if we allow ourselves to cry, if we listen to ourselves and forgive ourselves, everything would be more balanced.
Due to these same taboos imposed by our society, it is difficult for us to recognize that sometimes we need help, and little by little we get caught in the eye of the hurricane, where we no longer have a way out.
We must begin to recognize ourselves and stop avoiding reality. If you need something, ask for help, and if you cannot, it is valid, not everything can always be done. Seek help from a professional, read more, talk, find out.

Anna Fiori is back with a new single; Anxiety.
This single that originally belonged to the De La Tierra EP and was left out of it due to the selection of songs.

As the Mexican singer-songwriter points out, she did not know what the world would bring after the release of her EP De La Tierra in 2019.
